Advocacy takes several forms. Issue analysis and grassroots mobilization concerning local, state and national aging issues is available through our monthly newsletter “Never Too Late” and citizen forums through our Council on Senior Citizen Organizations’ monthly meetings. Representation by program recipients and community citizens for input into our Older Americans Act services is available through our Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council.
Advocacy on an individual, one-to-one basis is available through the Elder Rights and Benefits Department which can provide help for persons 60 years of age and older to get the benefits, services and information they need to promote dignity, respect and independence through assistance and advocacy. Family members and caregivers are welcome. Call the PCOA HELPLINE at (520) 790-7262 or e-mail erab@pcoa.org
