The Legacy Society is an honorary society recognizing individuals who have included the Council on Aging Foundation, confidentially and in writing, in their estate plans through a will, trust, life-income gift, or other planned gift.

Its purpose is to:

Honor and thank those special friends whose thoughtful estate planning will develop a permanent and broad based funding base that will insure the continuity of Pima Council on Aging and assist it in becoming less dependent upon the unpredictability of governmental funding.

Foster interest and pride in advancing the mission of Council on Aging Foundation through planned gifts. As a member of the Legacy Society, you will receive:

  • Personal  Consultation, per request,  on senior issues; i.e. caregivers, grand parenting, mature workers, Medicare issues
  • Special invitation to private reception held before Pima Council on Aging Annual meeting
  • News about the Council on Aging Foundation and Pima Council on Aging achievements in the Never Too Late Newsletter 
  • Updates on tax-advantaged charitable estate-planning opportunities. 

Members of the society enjoy:

  • A distinctive pin to show their commitment to Council on Aging Foundation.
  • Council on Aging Foundation certificate of appreciation suitable for framing.
  • An alliance with others who share their compassionate vision for addressing the issues of our aging population in Pima County and their caregivers.

“I give and devise (state percentage amount) to the Council on Aging Foundation, a qualified 509 (a) (3)  charitable institution, located at 8467 E. Broadway, Tucson, AZ 85710, to be used to support general purposes of the Pima Council on Aging."

“I give and devise (state percentage amount) to the Pima Council on Aging, a qualified 501 (c) (3) charitable institution, located at 8467 E. Broadway, Tucson, AZ 85710, to be used to support general purposes of the Pima Council on Aging."

Residual Bequest to Council on Aging Foundation or Pima Council on Aging Foundation

“I give and devise (all, or state percentage or shares) of the rest, residue, and remainder of property, both real and personal, wherever situated, which I may own or be entitled to at my death, to the Council on Aging Foundation a qualified 509 (a) (3) charitable institution, located at 8467 E. Broadway, Tucson, AZ 85710, to be used to support general purposes of the Pima Council on Aging."

or

“I give and devise (all, or state percentage or shares) of the rest, residue, and remainder of property, both real and personal, wherever situated, which I may own or be entitled to at my death, to the Pima Council on Aging a qualified 503 (c) (3) charitable institution, located at 8467 E.
