Classes and Workshops

ARIZONA LIVING WELL CLASSES

Arizona Living Well is a series of health promotion programs sponsored by PCOA in collaboration with community partners. Living Well is about managing one's personal health, staying fit and maintaining or improving quality of life. PCOA is offering 3 evidence-based personal health promotion programs for adults 60 years & older. Sign up now to begin your journey to improved personal health!

"HEALTHY LIVING: MANAGING ONGOING HEALTH CONDITIONS"
This six-week series about self-care for those living with a diagnosed chronic condition meets for 2 1/2 hours once a week.

"A MATTER OF BALANCE"
Eight 2-hour classes meet twice a week for 4 weeks; this program emphasizes the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle in order to reduce the risk of falling.

"ENHANCE FITNESS"
1-hour session 3 times weekly; this is an ongoing low to moderate level exercise class taught by a certified fitness instructor; classes can be taken seated or standing.

For family members and older persons to learn about the ALTCS. Call the PCOA Help Line at 790-7262 to reserve your seat.

"NEW TO MEDICARE" WORKSHOP

Pima Council on Aging, 8467 E. Broadway
First Wednesday of each month, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
For people becoming eligible for Medicare for the first time, this workshop will present the basics and the options that now go with Medicare. Seating is limited; call to register 546-2011
