ALTCS Information

The Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) is a part of AHCCCS –  Arizona’s  version of Medicaid. ALTCS provides long-term care in assisted living facilities and nursing homes, and provides in-home care for individuals who would otherwise be institutionalized. It is a complex income- and asset-limited program.

PCOA offers a class on ALTCS the second Thursday of each month at 2:00 p.m. at our office located at 8467 E. Broadway, Tucson, AZ. There is no cost for older adults, family members, or family caregivers. There is a $35 fee for professionals.
