Falls Free Pima

Established in 2015, the Southern Arizona Falls Prevention Coalition (SAFPC) is a respected local partnership of groups mobilized to spread the word about ways to prevent falls among older adults. SAFPC includes representatives from Pima Council on Aging (PCOA) and the Pima County Health Department (PCHD), along with first-responders from area fire districts/departments, and representatives from the Community Home Repair Projects of Arizona and Tai Chi for Health, educators from the Arizona Center on Aging and College of Medicine, and Banner UMC Trauma Services along with social service groups including Valley Assistance Services in Green Valley.

A series of three sessions focused on medication side effects, balance activities, ways to safe-proof your home and how aging affects senses. More Information
