Casa de la Luz is a full-service 24/7 hospice agency, offering in-home routine home hospice care where an individual resides, as well as hospice respite services and general inpatient hospice services in our hospice inpatient unit—Casa Hospice at The Hacienda. Services are provided by an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, chaplains, home health aides, and volunteers. We have a bereavement program offering grief support groups, individual grief counseling, and other special grief support workshops. Our bereavement program is open to loved ones of patients who have been cared for by Casa de la Luz Hospice as well as other individuals in the community. Casa de la Luz has a dedicated interdisciplinary team of Spanish speaking staff and volunteers. We also have a Community Based Palliative Care Program licensed by the state of Arizona. Casa de la Luz operates Kanmar Place Hospice Home, a residential hospice home.

HOSPICE: Harmony Hospice respects and honors the very personal choice made by many who have been informed that their illness is no longer responding to conventional care. We can provide relief with the reassurance that our professional staff is well experienced and able to provide compassionate care for the client, as well as guidance to the family and caregivers. Physical, social, spiritual, and emotional care are provided by a clinically-directed interdisciplinary team consisting of patients and their families, professionals, and volunteers during the last stages of an illness, dying process & bereavement period.
BEREAVEMENT: Our bereavement program supports not only the patient and families but also the caregivers and extended kin of the patient. Our new caregiver center is open to all community caregivers to relax, unwind, and process their experiences. Once a patient has died, we continue to support their loved ones for over a year with cards, phone calls, letters, and visits.
