The mission of ARC Elder Services is to empower self-determination and self-sufficiency among older people (50+) and legally competent adults living with disabilities. We accomplish this mission by providing state of the art advocacy and placement services, including late-life domestic violence education, lay legal advocacy, peer and paraprofessional support and options counseling, housing and financial counseling, and financial assistance for existing clients who qualify for rental/utility assistance, down payment assistance on a new home, mortgage assistance, reverse mortgage, foreclosure prevention, and post mortgage modification counseling. Those interested in learning more may schedule a free consultation by contacting a member of our team. Transportation is available for crime victims for the purposes of providing them access to safety and crime related services.

Adventure Bus is an innovative program for people in the early to middle stages of diminished memory capacity. The program provides stimulation, education, recreation, and socialization while offering respite to the caregivers. Adventure Bus includes semi-weekly indoor cultural activities as well as day trips to destinations in Tucson and the surrounding areas.
A screening interview is required before enrollment. The individual must be able to ambulate, socialize, listen to discussions, communicate needs, and be self-sufficient in activities of daily living.

Homes of Joy Senior Day/Respite Program provides older adults with social, cognitive, and physical activities such as art, music, dance, live entertainment, tai chi, yoga, gardening, educational lectures, brain fitness activities, cultural outings, and interactive animal events. Our program is available to adults 60 and older who are functionally self-sufficient with activities of daily living and require no “hands-on” care. We welcome participants with mild cognitive impairment.
Our staff are trained caregivers who provide high staff ratios of 6 participants to one caregiver, offer supervision, cueing, and facilitation for each individual so that everyone can thrive in the program.
